The Mandrake Project 2024-2025 Tour

Oh, you were there in hotel Aquarius in 1998…! I only saw the show in Tampere back then.

This time I had tickets to Groningen also, but I sold them and decided to only concentrate on the Helsinki show. Silly me?

By the way, I saw some big bearded guy crying his eyes out during the encore in Helsinki. Any chance that was you, Jantunen?

This much shows on Mandrake Project Tour is actually coming a bit from that 1998 tour where I saw only this gig in Aquarius and afterwards thought that should have gone to see a lot more but life was different then. It was so fucking great gig on that CW tour with Adrian. Anyway, I think he was not at his best in Groningen this year due to illness but still it was good time so…

I propably shed a tear in Helsinki show but wouldn’t say I cried my eyes out so maybe it was some other fella :sunglasses:. There was so emotional moments in Helsinki as well as other shows. Sometimes it felt like this is can’t be real and I must be dreaming. Lots of travelling and you get a bit tired and all the time your moving, packing, changing hotel, queueing to shows, seeing sights, planning your way etc. It gets your head spinning and makes you feel that strange in funny way. Normal people don’t get it what makes it so special seeing same show and same band so many times but if you love it, that’s the trick.

All of the Finnish rock/heavy metal magazines and sites have been writing such a great reviews of the Helsinki concert. It really was a night to remember.

“A night to remember”, I think that was the headline in one of the reviews! A good one as well.

I may have exaggerated a little with that “eyes out” part… but I too was seen wiping my eyes during “Tears of the Dragon”. Nothing wrong with that.

Anyway, something strange happened during the show in Hamburg: (I’ll hide the link just to be sure)

LOL, this mess-up has happened at least a couple of times already. The songs do have some similarities…

Indeed. In terms of epicness, song structure… and the vocal melody in the beginning of the verse.

Bad weather, good show and sounded great on the stream. The audience was very quiet in the mix, which was weird and probably misleading. But they didn’t play “Tears”!

So that’s how they finished the tour. A little underwhelming maybe.

I’ve been waiting for some time now the next tour dates for 2025. Rumours say it’s gonna be North America only but I really wish they could have at least few warm up shows in Europe. This year it was lots of travelling for me and got little bit tired too on the way but I loved every minute of it especially Bruce’s solo dates in UK so there could be a small possibility to travel for European dates if they happen.

Me too. Hopefully he’ll come to the Minneapolis area since his spoken word tour came through here before…

Looks like Bruce is signed up for a solo gig at a Brazilian festival (“The Town”) on Sep 7, 2025:

It’s a bit surprising that Bruce is going to tour after Maiden’s summer concerts. He has so much energy! Let’s hope some more dates next week. I heard other day that there’s a chance he’s gonna play one old album fully. It can’t be anything else than CW if this happens.

2025 marks the 20th anniversary of Tyranny of Souls… and most of those songs have never been played live. Just sayin’!

Good point! That would be also very interesting although I love CW so much.

Jer, are you going to see some shows there?

How do you guys understand when CET ticket presale starts?

Yep, just got my tickets for Minneapolis in September!

It says the artist presale starts at 10am local time for the venue you’re purchasing tickets for. That was true for me.
