I don’t like this one. The song’s a bit different from the others, which is not automatically a bad thing, but I don’t think this is what I want to hear from Bruce. Even the man himself sounds somehow reluctant, or cynical at the very least – probably a choice of style that fits the song, but for someone who doesn’t like the song it may appear as a wrong choice, I guess.
There are a couple of great choruses on the album, but this one is certainly not one of those. Maybe a better one might have lifted other parts of the song as well. But the riffs and the added percussions aren’t that good anyway.
The guitar solo is actually quite good, a nice touch of wah from Roy! It surprised me now listening to the song after quite a long break.
