Two days ago, Nicko McBrain has announced his departure from Iron Maiden as live drummer. He won’t do any world tour anymore. Due to the extensive touring that was exhausting for him the last couple of years, he made the following statement :
Yesterday, 7th of december, the legendary heartbeat of Iron Maiden played his last show ever in São Paulo.
As Bruce has said on stage, Nicko remains a full member of the band and will participate to the future Iron Maiden’s project (including new albums). He’s just retiring from live drumming.
