I got the Blu-Ray of Prey for Christmas and was very pleasantly surprised by just how good it was. This spurred me to go back and watch the first 3 Predator movies again (I don’t currently have a streaming service with The Predator on it, though I watched it when it was new), and while the franchise has certainly been uneven, it’s been more enjoyable than not.

I think Predator 2 is mostly a shitshow, but it established some important bits of lore for the video games and planted the seed for Prey, so that’s something.
I also seemed to like Predators more than most people, and I kind of wish they’d continued with their planned trilogy of movies based on that new starting point, since it could have gone to some interesting places.
(The Alien vs. Predator movies are kind of their own thing, so I didn’t include them here.)
