An easy one to rate – clearly a four.

This is by far the weirdest, funniest song on the album. Cool intro with vibes that differ from everything else on the album, or indeed everything else that Bruce has ever put out. And if one guitar tone on this album is perfect, it is Roy’s distorted tone when he hits the long chords towards the end of the intro.

The verse and the chorus are maybe nothing special, but we’re still in the mood set up by the intro, and all is well.

But man, what the hell were they thinking with the sudden change to Black Sabbath after the chorus? That still baffles me, but in a good way. What a masterstroke. Or complete idiocy? The strangest of arrangements as well, leaving the bass guitar out of the riff, only to return to play a melody in between the verses. What on earth is this? This is not how you write songs, and this is not how you produce them in the studio! Or… is it?

It MUST be said that the middle part includes some of the most delightful vocals on the album. Just listen to Bruce’s vibrato there! That is magnificent. Combined with some cool-sounding lyrics. I just love it.

And then we’re back to the intro. The outro of the song is good as well, I can’t really imagine any other way to end this song. On the other hand though, I couldn’t have imagined the middle part either.

Quite a ride!
